The Carlson School’s MBA Alumni Board recently accepted the University of Minnesota’s Alumni Association’s Program Extraordinaire award for its Drinks and Development Series. This award is selected by a committee and recognizes an excellent alumni program.
Drinks and Development is an event for MBA alumni that happens twice a year and features Carlson School faculty or staff speaking on their area of expertise, followed by a drinks-and-appetizers networking reception. Previous speakers and topics have included Assistant Dean of MBA Programs Phil Miller, speaking on how to leverage your MBA; Professor Aks Zaheer, presenting on his newest research surrounding strategy; and Maggie Tomas, director of the Graduate Business Career Center, speaking on “Executive Presence.”
The next Drinks and Development will be Wednesday, November 18, and will feature career coaches Stephen Glomb and Maggie Tomas and their presentation on “Creating a Meaningful Career.”
